How to Install Mods on an ARK: Survival Ascended Server

Prepare a compatible mod list

1. Back up the world and stop the server before adding or removing mods.
2. On each mod's CurseForge page, record its Project ID and check that it is for ARK: Survival Ascended. For a group that includes console players, choose mods labelled cross-platform instead of PC-only. CurseForge explains PC and console publication.
3. In your host's panel, find the CurseForge mod tool or active ID setting. Nitrado's documentation shows mod search and a comma-separated ID list; other providers may label this differently.
4. Save settings and restart the server. Check its log and join with an updated client. The game shows players the required mods and offers to download them when joining, according to CurseForge support.

When a mod blocks a connection

Check the ID, whether the mod targets Ascended rather than Evolved, PC/console support and whether the player's download completed. Then test one active mod and add the others back in small batches. This isolates compatibility problems without random changes to your world. Preserve an earlier backup before removing content that changes maps or items.
