Conan Exiles Enhanced mods: compatibility and load order

Build a verifiable mod list

For each mod, record the official listing, publication identifier, supported game version and dependencies. Include load-order instructions. A list of names without these details does not let players reproduce the setup reliably.

Funcom confirms Enhanced mod support but notes that updates may be needed. The June 2026 patch also improved incompatibility warnings. Investigate a mod-version error before reinstalling the entire game.

Install on a recoverable copy

Archive the world, settings and mod list before maintenance. Stop the server and use the installation method supported by the provider for that edition. Confirm that the panel installs the intended Enhanced publication.

The Legacy technical manual documents .pak files and modlist.txt under ConanSandbox/Mods. This historical reference does not establish that a Legacy installation script fits your Enhanced panel. Follow the current edition's workflow and keep the libraries separate.

Match clients to the server

Players need the same publications and required ordering. If an author requires a dependency before their mod, preserve that order on both sides. Wait for downloads to finish before testing connections.

Begin with a small mod set on a world copy. Test relevant objects, interactions, saving and restarting. Add remaining components in coherent groups so an error can be traced to a specific change.

Handle incompatibility after an update

Compare game and mod versions with the logs. If a compatible mod release is unavailable, defer the change or use an environment still compatible with the retained save.

Removing a mod that adds structures or objects may permanently alter the world. Perform that test on a copy. Recovery needs the corresponding combination of files and world data.
