Identify edition and platform

Record the client version and the edition installed in the hosting panel. Funcom requires them to match. Also check the selected Steam branch; Legacy allows a player to remain with a compatible Legacy instance.

A friend on another storefront or console may not use Enhanced. Obtain their exact platform and consult official support. An absent listing can indicate compatibility limitations rather than a network failure.

Check startup and browser filters

Read logs after startup for completed world loading, repeated errors and expected online publication. An active process in the panel does not prove the map is ready.

Review browser filters for map, mode, passwords and mods. Then try the direct connection details documented for the instance. Successful direct access points toward filtering or public listing issues.

Compare installed mods

Record publications, versions and load order on both client and server. Similar names are insufficient because Legacy and Enhanced releases can be separate publications.

Retain the text of compatibility warnings. Enhanced's June 2026 update improved these checks; ignoring a mod reported as outdated does not repair loading. Test a compatible setup on a copy before changing the main world.

Examine ports and prepare a support report

Copy the address and ports from the panel, distinguishing game and query ports when listed separately. On self-hosting, align startup, firewall and forwarding with the installed edition's documentation.

Give support the edition, platform, time, error and sanitized logs. If compatible clients on several networks all fail while the world loads normally, request an instance connectivity check. A complete reinstall is justified only by the diagnosis and a recoverable archive.
