Palworld admin commands: saves and player moderation

Enable administrator access

Set AdminPassword in the active configuration using a server-specific secret. Apply it through the panel or after stopping cleanly, then restart if required. Do not distribute it to ordinary players.

In game chat, enter /AdminPassword followed by your secret. Keep the real value out of screenshots, public support tickets and recordings. Knowing ServerPassword does not grant the same privileges.

Begin with observation commands

/ShowPlayers

/Info helps identify the server, /ShowPlayers lists players and /Save triggers a save. For a targeted action, retrieve the required identifier and confirm syntax for your installed version. Do not substitute a guessed display name for a player identifier.

Announce maintenance and stop cleanly

Use /Broadcast followed by your message. /Shutdown takes a delay in seconds and a message. For example:

/Broadcast Maintenance in two minutes
/Save
/Shutdown 120 Maintenance

This is an actual maintenance sequence, not a harmless test to run during play. /DoExit forces termination and is not the normal choice for protecting an active session. Wait for complete shutdown before replacing files.

Moderate players and revoke access

/KickPlayer, /BanPlayer and /UnBanPlayer handle removal, banning and reversal. Keep the target identifier and reason in a private record. A temporary kick does not replace a ban when continued access must be prevented.

Avoid enabling RCON or the REST API solely for a few in-game commands. If needed, manage their authentication and network access separately. Rotate the admin password when a departing administrator previously knew it.
