Keep a Satisfactory factory running with no players online
Disable Satisfactory automatic pause, test production while disconnected and distinguish blocked machinery from a stopped dedicated server.
A Satisfactory dedicated server can automatically pause simulation when nobody is connected. Disabling that option lets a supplied factory continue producing, provided the server process itself remains running.
Decide what should happen between sessions
Agree with the group about unattended production. Running continuously fills storage but also consumes available resources. Hosting configured to shut down an empty server will not keep producing merely because a game setting changed.
Check both levels: Satisfactory's pause setting and the hosting service's operating conditions. A cooperative session hosted on a friend's PC stops when that game closes; dedicated hosting serves a different need.
Disable pause through Server Manager
Authenticate in Server Manager as administrator. Minestrator documents selecting the dedicated server, opening Server Settings and finding the Dedicated Server section.
Clear the automatic-pause option, apply the change and arrange a clean restart after saving. Labels vary with client language, but the relevant control pauses an empty server; it is separate from automatic saving.
Test a small working production line
Choose a powered machine with ingredients and available output storage. Record the item count and time, then have every player disconnect for a few minutes. Rejoin and compare the output.
If the count has not changed, inspect power, ingredients, belts and storage capacity first. Then confirm that the server stayed running and the setting did not reset. Full storage can hide otherwise working production, while a power failure stops machines even with active simulation.
Monitor a large factory afterward
Continuous simulation can extend CPU workload and save activity throughout the day. Observe the panel, particularly when the server already approached its limits during play.
To restore the previous behavior, enable automatic pause again and verify it. This does not require deleting the world. Maintain suitable save intervals and an independent backup before major factory changes.
